Terms of service

Software for your stay, not a booking counter.

The rules for using Hostry, paying for a subscription and reviewing every output before publication.

The Hostry service

Hostry is online software for drafting accommodation marketing copy, guest replies, rate estimates, welcome materials, images and short reels. All outputs are online-only digital services. No physical goods are sold or shipped.

Hostry is not a booking engine, property channel manager, travel agent or payment service for guests. We do not receive room charges, deposits, guarantees or any other guest payment. Booking and cancellation disputes in your channels remain between you and your guest or channel provider.

Eligibility and accounts

You must provide accurate account information, protect access credentials and use Hostry for a property you own, operate or are authorised to market. Children under 13 may not use Hostry. Users aged 13–17 require a parent or guardian’s agreement. We may suspend access where reasonably needed to protect the service or investigate prohibited use.

Subscriptions and allowances

Prices are in USD. Guestbook is free with one stay draft per month. Front Desk is $26 monthly or $249.60 yearly and includes six stay bundles each month. Full House is $124 monthly or $1190.40 yearly and includes unlimited stays, dual-format reels, multi-room rate comparison and priority generation.

Paid subscriptions renew for the selected period until cancelled. Included service allowances reset at the end of each billing period, do not roll over and have no cash value. Hostry does not sell credits, credit top-ups or stored-value balances.

Payment and cancellation

Stripe processes current subscription checkout. Other payment providers are used only if shown in checkout. You authorise recurring charges until cancellation. You can cancel through the customer portal or by contacting support. Access continues to the end of the paid period unless law requires a different result. The Refund & Cancellation Policy explains eligibility and statutory rights.

Your operating responsibilities

You must verify descriptions, facilities, accessibility claims, rate inputs, guest messages, imagery, house rules and links before use. You remain responsible for property permissions, licences, planning, fire precautions, food hygiene, health and safety, insurance, taxes and all legal duties.

Hostry does not provide legal, tax, insurance, licensing, fire, food hygiene, health and safety or other professional advice. Rate estimates do not guarantee revenue, occupancy or a market price.

Content and licence

You retain rights in your input and receive the rights described in the Content License for generated output. You grant Hostry a limited right to process the input only to operate, secure and support the service. You must have permission to upload every property image and must not include an identifiable guest without appropriate consent.

Acceptable use

You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, you may not invent facilities, publish misleading availability, fabricate reviews, impersonate a property owner, discriminate against guests, misuse personal data or represent a styling reference as the property’s actual condition.

Availability and changes

We use reasonable care to provide the service but generation providers, networks and maintenance can interrupt access. We may update features, providers and reasonable limits to maintain safety or performance. If a material paid feature is removed, applicable consumer remedies remain available.

Liability

Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud or liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, Hostry is not responsible for an operator’s publication decisions, property condition, guest transaction, lost booking opportunity or reliance on an unverified estimate. For business users, aggregate liability related to the service is limited to fees paid in the 12 months before the event; consumer statutory rights are not limited.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, mandatory rights and court protections in your home country continue to apply. Contact support before bringing a claim so we can try to resolve it promptly.
